D’ excellence hidden in ordinary

Lately mom realised,
crazy to ask d’ child to strive
for an extra-ordinary life
It often looks laudable
but invites lot of trouble
She graciously tutored me,
to seek no comforts in a hurry
go ahead, dig out d’ wonder,
concealed in the ordinary
If shoving sand in desert,
pay heed, not to miss a miracle
luck might click a licence,
to see a diamond sparkle
Get to know the thrill,
to take bath in a spring
enjoy d' rhythm of water,
tumbling down d’ hills, hopping
A view, u are just unaware
appears ordinary,
yet a titillating nightmare

Let taste buds get refreshed
with fresh water of tube well
a brief freedom from tedious
boiled mineral water smell
Liberty of a barefoot dance,
in the raw sticky mud
to put on socks day-n-night
obviously seems absurd
Autonomy to smear colour,
on your face at least once,
skip plea of colour allergy,
avail it, if offered a chance
Relish fried crispy delicacy,
from a routine roadside stall
to gossip and gulp together,
no scope granted to u at all
How an apple tastes in orchard,
if plucked and munch there on
to chew a ripe tomato pulled off
from d’ bush in kitchen garden

Crying an usual act, learn to cry,
if a loving pet or a close person die
one ought to understand,
towering pleasure in touch of a hand

Remain down to earth,
pragmatic for all purpose
ordinary is awfully vital,
ordinary must survive in us
She has changed her stance
after d’ morning’s occurrence
A sapling in the front house
supplied with a lot of water,
secured from insects, pests
regaled with quality manure,
Unique care made it grow,
to a lush green lusty plant
failed to combat gusty winds,
got uprooted in an instant
Other neighbour raised a plant,
with modest water, little manure
got d’ impetus to grow,
had to do a lot on its own
Its roots went deep down,
a prolific plant was grown
stood erect, undisturbed,
resisted onslaught of nature
couldn’t fell it down,
d’ storm, heavy downpour
Kids need compact care,
with li’l direction
ought to make ample efforts
 to stand on their own
Over doing makes them weak,
need nothing extra ordinary
mom emphasized to look for,
d’ excellence hidden in ordinary
