Lingers in memory

Peeped in to d’ steaming cup of tea,
Unraveled few mysterious memory
Absolutely different quite amazing,
never sipped tea of similar matching
Not from wood cabin, or boys’ mess,
nor served In flight, by d’ air hostess
Not bought from a hasty Rly. vendor,
gushed from a drum, in cups of paper

Not from a boiling pot in wayside stall,
nor of social fair, made in mass scale
No tea in mud cups with smell of ash,
served by half folded lungi clad chap
Not offered in club, nor in a function
It’s a cup granted, in my sweet home
A tidy tea cup, in utmost modest way,
with a glass of water, in a decent tray

Memorized discovery of d' drink,
funny a tale, it's Chinese flood link
River Huang-hua, alters its course,
sorrow of China, evidently a curse
Washed out villages often perish,
survivors die of cholera epidemics
King ruled for boiled potable water,
feedback revealed, compliance poor
To combat the post flood epidemics,
King ordered for tea shrub fencings
Leaves plucked & boiled, tang bitter,
dry leave extract tasted much better
 Drink Improvised, improved further,
by adding milk, sugar, lemon, ginger
Now casual hot beverage years after,
almost worldwide, Jammu to Gibraltar
Alluring packing, varied forms & flavor
marketed in nook & corner, world over
Tea outlets offer tea, served in lawn,
tourists sip, enjoy it on grass cushion
During bath in swimming pool setting,
tea given in roof top party gathering
chilled dark decant or hot with cream,
spicy tea, an ambience of cardamom

I had d' scope, to sip d’ unique tea,
in barren life an occasion of ecstasy
No compromise done in tea quality
elements in proportion, so it’s tasty
Elegant designed cups, no protocol,
flavor never altered by cup or saucer
Astounding aroma, incredible flavor,
taste flowed from d’ fair slim fingers
So perfect in making! in mind a query
d’ adored moment lingers in memory
