Too many contacts, no connection

Journalist was excited to begin,

grill d’ monk as planned earlier

“now unravel what’s connection,

you said on contact, last lecture”

Articulation overly confusing,

make some effort to elaborate

monk gave li’l amusing smile,

from d’ query tried to deviate ?

So, u belong to New York city,

at home who are the members

can u narrate your family story,

how often u meet, u remember?

Journalist smelled the scenario,

evidently monk’s trying to avoid

turning too personal and asking,

questions sensitive and unwanted

Mom expired, father’s yet alive,

3 brothers, one sister , all married

with a charming smile monk asked,

“do u talk to your father as his lad?"

Annoyance flickered in his face,

when did you talk to him d’ last?

suppressed d’ built in ire in heart,

may be a month ago, replied fast

Do u brothers & sisters meet often?

in family gathering or any function?

last when d’ opportunity happened,

what was that auspicious occasion

Sweat drops on forehead appeared

who’s doing d’ interview, not clear

last met at Christmas two years ago,

How long did you all stay together?

Wiping d’ sweat from brow told

All are busy guys, stayed only days four

How long u spent with your father?

sat there and talked with each other

He appeared absolutely baffled,

scribbled fast on a piece of paper

any cordial talk of his well being!

had any lunch or dinner together?

How d’ poor guy passes his days,

in absence of  d’ lady, your mother

tear started trickling from his eyes,

Monk consoled, don’t be upset dear

Sorry I hurt u , you felt very bad,

but it’s d’ answer to your question

you had contact with your father,

but truly never had a connection

Connection is a delicate thread,

extends only from heart to heart

caring for each other; touching,

to sit together, share meals, chat

shaking hands, having eye contact,

gossips, jokes spend time together

u brothers sisters have contact

but no connection with each other

Wiping eyes he thanked d’ monk,

for me it’s a fine indelible lesson

in mobile never ending contact list,

but absolutely blocked connection

Each of us in a different world,

no time for caring, sharing, fun

a deserted life, entirely barren,

too many contacts, no connection

Made me feel amply prosperous

A soft voice uttered in ears,
while on a stroll in d’ park
“a brief shower pour tonight,
if you've a wish, u can ask”

An unique occasion for u,
to get blessed from d’ sky
rush to assigned location,
opt for an item, wish, try

An amazing bounty boon,
got stunned, taken aback
truth or a thrilling dream,
who’s kind for my shake?

Dinner done, lied in bed,
began lightening, thunder
dark clouds filled the sky,
started a heavy downpour

I got up, equated d’ dearth,
in my plain life, a true need
a thing, can make me happy,
enrich, can enjoy it in deed

To be fully freed once for all,
from troubles, entire worries
boon from sky, in an instant,
alter our family’s life stories

Flowers I love, flashed in mind,
motley flowers drifted allaround
brush past cheeks, arms, body,
covered d’ roads, entire ground

Exotic colour, ripping perfume,
chose, picked up in enthusiasm
roads chocked, drains brimful,
no grass seen for cattle grazing

Myriad hunt made me restless,
 an unneeded lot did assemble
can’t welcome such unbalance,
might make life too miserable

Never wish to tamper my life,
within me I have limitless joy
adored boon offered to forego,
need no advantage of the ploy

Awful bliss’s of no use to me,
excess makes d’ life diplorable
expect no item in that context,
beyond the limit, I am eligible

Sky stared too intently at me,
clouds turned much impatient
thunders began exploding loud
for my response, my comment

Just to listen from my mouth,
tranquil wind did pick up pace
till I boldly trumpeted, I’m not
in wacky fortune hunter’s race

Dream disrupted, sleep broken,
rain drops hitting roof asbestos
a simple life with little demand,
made me feel amply prosperous
