Palavelli, an exciting expedition

Dare devil driver of Kaleswari travels,
negotiated d’ monster like bus
On narrow stretch of road,
Department of Surgery on board
Brave heart crossed all twists & bends,
but failed to assess,
height of resort’s welcome shade
Resort only a furlong ahead,
but strangely it happened
A bang to concrete beam at d’ top,
AC pipe on bus roof, got crushed
Calm of ambient valley was torn,
an unceasing gas leak as if,
a thousand cobras hissing in unison
Gigantic damsel couldn’t cross,
came to a standstill of course
All helpless, nothing could be done,
it’s a part of life,
to face diverse situations
Incumbents alighted, no other way,
abruptly ended, journey of d’ day
Most of them with backpacks, bags,
sluggish stride with reluctant steps
Carrying items for a night stay,
drained, tired, truly a hectic day
Suites for stay, all in first floor,
can they climb stair case!,
no one was sure
An exotic bonfire in d’ open,
dark sky, chilly night,
no trace of moon
Cameras clicked in infrared light,
faces captured to memorize d’ sight
 Dinner done in backyard lounge,
retired in cozy suite,
listening evening news

A serene sleep, got up next dawn,
awaited a full day packed with fun
Dew drenched grass in lawn,
a mesmerizing fog shrouded pond

Eyes agape, yet a dream afloat,
got in to a bamboo woven dish boat
Rowed round d’ lake,
in water stagnant,
a race with,
 snowy white swimming swans
To throw a fishing net, an elegant art,
a flipping fish, by chance got trapped
Struggled to escape, started to gasp,
ceased for a moment,
picnicker’s hearts
Uneasy looks, anxious breaths,
 till d’ creature freed,
 from the fishing net
Gently released to d' shallow pond,
to vanish in a second
Next schedule,
a group morning march,
across paddy fields, green orchards
A scope to focus on nature,
to explore,
 flowers’ floral structure
Bruised leaves’ fastidious flavor,
upheld by plants for long,
once in a while to be discovered
Wasted no time on carom or chess,
called on Gods in village temples
In Godavari, a motor boat cruise,
crystal clear water, docile breeze
Lush green banks,
 pleased thirsty eyes
chirpy birds in distant blue sky
water seems calm
no water current evident
Up stream & down stream,
just an hour spent
Got down from boat,
 to d' river bank,
a balancing act in turn,
on a wooden plank
As if in a circus,
a tight rope walking
arms outstretched,
but colored umbrella missing
lastly a jump to land, with extra care
a thrill, goose skin,
erected dermal hair
Sand quarries in river bed was on,
tractor trolleys parked,
 for sand transportation
An offensive damage,
 to fabric of d' soil
lucrative a trade,
though ecology's spoiled
Palavelli on banks of Godavari,
a cluster of coconut tree,
 in deep worry
Tall elegant plants standing moron,
sans fruits, like lovely ladies barren
Relished buffet breakfast,
 really yummy,
satiated tongue buds,
as well as tummy
In return journey,
bus was a hot oven,
curvy congested road, wheels rolling on
Roof window plate ousted, fresh air in,
branches kept brushing on d’ rim,
generating scary noise,
snacks served and housei played
Cool breeze gushed in, no suffocation
but for d’ way side mikes’
sound pollution
AC, no-AC, now no concern,
Temperature down, a snug position
In push back seat,
 one can truly try,
through d' vent in roof,
to inspect night sky
At conflux of Godavari to bay of Bengal,
Antharvedi Lakshmi-Narasimha temple
devotees' crowding for obvious reason,
a holy month, an auspicious occasion
Untidy compound, unclean exterior,
In & out, nook & corner, piles of litter
A setting sun,
approaching night fall,
made us rush fast, to d' sea shore
No relaxing sea bath,
no beach stroll,
no occasion to relish sea food at all
Cops whistled,
followed an announcement,
Time off, beach closed,
do vacate d’ place
It's no merry making site,
 nothing's pleasant,
a filthy stinking beach, too irritant

PM’s cleanliness drive,
remains a vogue,
a feeling germinates,
we d’ same dirty rogues
Only a break,
 in monotonous work protocol,
thus this trip to,
Palavelli, Anthervedi sea shore
