Same PIZZA, from a different angle

As usual,

d’ pizza was delivered

in minutes, to d’ address

from where it was ordered

Alluring, golden brown,

hot, enticing flavor

to munch it, relish it

can’t wait any more

But.........................

Wished, one more look

from a different angle

each piece aroused,

enormous puzzle

To visit her daughter,

maid took 3 days off

for the festive occasion,

Mrs. paid her Rs.500 bonus

For the trouble caused,

sought my co-operation

an earnest appeal made,

to cope with d’ situation

I gave her a querying look,

and wished to object

its no little amount,

for nothing she had spent

Diwali, d’ only occasion,

right time for a bonus

benefits not sanctioned

any time, if someone wish

Virtually from our mouth

a pizza delicacy got snatched

before granting her wish,

u never bothered to ask

 Maid resumed duties today,

a lingering smile in face

mumbling a lot of praise,

for my generous mistress

Began giving, an account

of her entire spent

of d' precious amount,

her employer happily gave

Vacation trip too satisfying!

glee in d' face, overflowing

Dusting, mopping, narration

in non-stop way, going on

"Met my daughter, grandson

d’ vacation did fully enjoy"

Gratitude got spilled out,

of her two talkative eyes

Rs 150, for d’ boy’s garment,

rupees 40 for his doll

Bought sweets worth 50 Rs

fifty offered to deity in temple

Rs 25 to buy daughter’s bangles

Rs 60 for, to and fro bus fair

bought a belt for son-in-law,

for Rs 50, from d’ village fair

Surplus money, 75 rupees

handed over to daughter

to buy my little grandson,

note book, pencil, eraser

She evidently gathered,

tremendous pleasure

can’t be equated with

8 pieces of Pizza, if I devour

In silence I computed,

each spent she narrated

the total was of course,

exactly Rs five hundred

Saw from a different angle,

trying genuinely to assess

if pizza slices, equivalent to

that amount of happiness !
