Don’t be perturbed, don’t frown

“What for d' breakfast today?,

any stuff tasty, good to eat!

she ran through the kitchen,

prior to brushing her teeth

"Get ready for your school",

it was granny’s stern voice

"Bus’s at 07:40, already late,

hurry up dear, don’t rejoice"

"Off to d’ bath room please",

d’ li’l girl was about to react

"Not allowed to enact drama,

no licence to behave smart"
"No one listens in this house,

bothers to get an alarm clock

almost occurs each morning,

to get up late and miss d' bus"
Time’s running out of hand,

as a mail train picks up pace

did open the front door fast,

to check for d’ milk packets
Milk boy drops packs in bag,

hung in the front of the door

first a protein drink for d’ kid,

next hot tea be brewed for her

Then breakfast’s dished out,

endless list of jobs to be done

no one comes to her rescue,

entire lot, she’ll do all alone

Morning management’s tough

includes feeding d’ baby turtle

take it out of its den of clothes,

release it in to the tub of water

Shop's located in Google map,

food chosen from d' web site

Clap, sing to elevate its mood,

accepts food, if temper’s right
Unmindfully opened d’ door,

found, no bag hung outside

tried to reach out for mobile,

could not track it at bedside

How to shout at d’ milk boy,

can’t imagine how to summon

he must be half way through,

or might‘ve reached his home

Will try through the intercom,

can talk to security at reception

Oh !God!, no one lifts d' phone,

she d’ lone, to fight d’ situation

The security in township gate,

called up, commanded to catch

"Any one exits with milk packs,

to apartment 16 send him back"

"It's 2nd floor, house no.204,

if our boy, can settle d’ score

green tea's not that pleasant,

even if rich in antioxidants"

Door bell rang, it's our milk boy,

she screamed, "how u did that?

not even pressed the door bell,

inferred none at home and left"

"Ma’m, found no bag at d’ door,

presumed u' all, out of the town

once in a while things do happen,

don’t be perturbed, don’t frown"
