A start of loving moments

She woke up and heard
 something happening around,
a new little brother's born,
in the bedroom she found
Now on she d’ elder sibling,
lips apart, perpetually watching
Just before 5am, not yet dawn,
in a sleepy voice asked me, "mom,
wish to cuddle d’ baby, can I come? “
Sensed concurrence in my looks,
came forward for a quick cuddle
just then d’ ambulance arrived,
and took us to Hospital
My docile four-year-old,
a li'l brother arrived, feels bold
Maiden photo of my two kids,
utterly majestic indeed
One fuzzy eyed but proud,
 d’ other crying & confused
having just come into d' world
 from a prolonged amniotic bath
evidently superb, beautiful
ardour terrific, unbelievable
And as days passing on
d’ elder admires very often,
baby returns the feeling,
to hear sister’s voice,
his eyes gleaming
Giggles with joy to see her face
moves all for limbs skywards,
 turns restless
Not very different from his sister,
4 years gap in age, hardly matters
Wishes to prove its supremacy
crawls ahead fast to gulp items
as if to taste d’ delicacy

she's gaining liberty,
heads off to preschool,
other still a baby in my arms, lying cool
But both clicked right from d’ start
in similar fashion each behaved smart
Span of pregnancy,
a long period to a child
revealed it right from d’ start,
 never wish to hide,
Better hear from us in a simple way,
no vague queries at a later day
Yet one day calmly a demand done,
“Mom I don’t want d’ baby to be born”
Thoughts verbalized and
from d’ gap in lips flowed,
Her activities to be curtailed,
 her bosom friend has told
Pal’s hustle bustle stopped,
when her sister was born,
all freedom ruined as days went on

I assured about her skating lessons,
gymnastics, dance class to be kept on
Crisis averted with repeat reminders,
All along pregnancy she, a follower
Looked a bit strange,to see
 shape of mom’s tummy change
We took her to ultrasounds
me on d’ couch, she moved around
Let her feel d’ baby kick,
to realize d’ little one growing big
Both to grow up in changing situation
priority selection my option
Each has a place in the family,
no liberty granted to be unruly
It’s time, meticulously preparing,
she ought to learn sharing
We’re so meaningful to each other,
welfares, for all family members
Gently alters our combination,
to realize we’ve a new addition
Baby’s put close to her play place,
to ease her out, not to be restless
Baby may encroach her domain,
if toys meddled, not to be shaken
But as time passes on,
clashes, arguments they’ll learn
Obviously nothing atypical,
a start of loving moments as usual
