In search of a definition

Called d' Surgery PGs

to my chamber,

one after the other

asked to define Surgery,

not to be in a hurry

to sum up their feeling

from own ordeals,

exact and most fitting

in d' casualty, wards, theatre,

episodes faced, to explore

take their own time,

but do perfectly define

To portray in own version,

the first guy was shaky

d' scariest branch in Medicine,

turns life unduly panicky

cut, suture, coagulate, debride

the craft seems filthy

d' areas to deal with,

diseased and unhealthy

an awful way d' task done

for a superb outcome

For me,

an MS degree abundant,

a brick of gold, 25 carat

grants scope to excel in d' city,

to outsmart d' health fraternity

The next guy narrated

Surgery, a dignified robber,

plucks the pain-agony

makes life snug, secured

patients tell a fictitious story,

d' grueling spell faced

narrate own bravery,

surgeon never named

but for any shortfall,

always surgeon blamed

A real hero, truly decent

ne'er hang around,

for a compliment

Present PG, smart guy,

spoke in a soaring voice

turns one wealthy,

a branch of choice

A degree to make money,

d' merit of life elevated

can settle well in society,

the status uplifted

An enterprise for ventures,

explore human body parts

scope ample, yield profound,

if d' art of marketing, apt

The next PG told,

surgery, a pretty damsel,

with alluring look

comely, lovely, enticing

one might run amok

Shining feline eyes,

rimmed with dark eyelash

d' features make medicos,

crazy in a lone glance

Can't say goodbye,

vanishes not d' ecstasy

d' world appears decent,

with the belle's phantasy

Next, a lady postgraduate,

set her foot in, overheard

burly rebut, Surgery,

a lofty, handsome lad

Obscure his narration,

not free to settle d' gender

it's indecorous, improper

to talk as an

insensible offender

Surgery, a generous guy,

supportive its nature

treats ladies in high esteem,

its vicinity one feels secured,

A guy fascinating,

appealing from within

ever agreeable,

frank and fun-loving

Surgery a fruit,

fleshy and juicy,

fresh from d' orchard

munch with care

superb and crispy

A tool with precision,

to cut, rebuild body part

molds into an august barber,

an oracle in d' awesome art

a priceless ladder to success,

learn d' trick to climb

gather honey not get stung,

a tempting, luscious beehive

A rhizome with diverse cloves,

right clove to be chosen

life instilled in a baffled victim,

if dealt with

by a skillful surgeon

Surgery, a divine art,

an elegant God-given skill

not attained by bookish grasp,

degrees or medal-winning drill

A winsome ability,

fetches own admiration

with its inherent beauty

noblest of d' noble professions

A hypnotizing branch

charismatic, ever-advancing

can't unfold its precision

tough to depict, truly define

I'm proud of my last PG,

depicted surgery to d' hilt

defined in a dignified way,

d' articulation flawless, polite

An ethereal tune of a fine flute,

so compelling the narration

his say soothed ear and sole,

it's surgery's true definition

Brand me as superstitious

Often I can't reason,

why do certain things happen

try to correlate, connect

mere co-incidents?

but unable to accept

Maybe a mental block,

but I ponder if it's

a fair or an awful luck

events occur on their own

yet a strange belief, grown

the things happened,

ought to happen

d' genesis of superstition

I firmly believe it,

you may call it a fuss

or brand me as superstitious

What's a bad-omen mean,

and what's auspicious?

I'm meticulously watchful,

yet de trop suspicious

Passing under a ladder

makes life hell,

progress at a standstill or

moves on at d' pace of a snail

A cat crossing d' road,

noted as a bad omen

trip to be started

afresh and again

An explosive sneeze,

maybe a nasal irritation

perilous storm ahead,

is d' simple indication

warns not to proceed further

may face thunder roars,

and rough weather

A certain TV propitious,

I ought to watch,

for a spectacular win

in a cricket match

All the good in life

are achieved soon

pursuing d' laid down

notions of superstition

I believe in omens,

need no evidence

in few odds, I often

smell an excellence

no concern to analyze,

d' sum of  truth/ nuisance

you may call it a fuss

or brand me as superstitious

Irrational folk talks,

valid logical proof absent

future crop ups foretold,

linking unrelated events

Extra charity lowers death

enhances child survival

asserts ample trust,

to celebrate their arrival

On d' 1st day of April, granted

teasing hoaxes and jokes

might humiliate, deceive one,

but invites stupefying luck

Often guided by unknown,

yet view as a notion credulous

lambasted, lack of knowledge

I dislike, d' cross-counter cross

you may call it a fuss

or brand me as superstitious

If d' month begins on a Sunday,

a Friday will be its 13th day

being d' most unlucky number,

d' doomed day, a black Friday

the black Fridays ill-omened,

any untoward might happen

instant crash of d' stock market,

or crash of an airliner plane

flood, landslide, or hurricane

human sacrifice fixes muddles,

can pacify Gods, bring fortune

work carries on as cakewalk,

in a bridge/ temple construction

In the Great Wall of China,

entombed countless souls

to fend off unsure invasions,

or enemy warfare and tussle

The face appears distorted,

if peeped into a wavy mirror

a dirty sign brews bad luck,

as a bolt out of blue bids disaster

I do believe it,

it's in my ethos precious

you may call it a fuss

or brand me as superstitious

In voyage, a phantom ship,

and a ghostly crew if visible

for sailors to see d' land again,

less likely and impossible

A firm belief prevails In Russia,

August curse in horoscope

tragic wars, terrorist attacks

in August, makes life worse

The Romans sacrifice infants

to appease d' enraged Gods

Ghosts get fixed forever, if in

proximity to a Christian cross

Perplex situations tide over

by keeping d' fingers crossed

I'm mythical, duly convinced,

to me, evident and obvious

you may call it a fuss

or brand me as superstitious

Aberrations accepted often

Weird events crop up often,

in His awesome creation

a petty digression,

from d' divine disposition

An anomaly,

incidental aberration

nature's a phenomenal rule

d' absurdity on often-times

more meaningful

A mole on the fair cheek,

a spot of beauty

a mild thyroid bulge

charming in dames at puberty

Fabulous look of a girl

with an overriding teeth

a naughty child,

mischievous, yet so sweet

Dark specks on d' moon, a norm

amplifies its enticement

tiny oddities,

nature's accepted design,

for appeasement

Heart on d' right, liver on left

a lip deficit/gap in d' palate

a hole in d' heart's septum,

yet d' guy, a gracious person

Fused fingers or surplus toes

bat ears or a twisted nose

God put parts that way,

counted as no anomaly,

trust d' guy right away

in any context

may be big-hearted, decent

Beyond d' confines of

a routine nuptial kinship

souls often sidetrack,

to a funny friendship

The appeal of human souls,

not invariably inhuman

considered casual,

no Greek, Latin, or Roman

Appears ridiculous

of course, in d' social mirror

yet no disgraceful remorse

not viewed as a sin,

a mini aberration,

granted in God's forming

Make the mind blank,

imagine a situation

snap the ties of

all original relation

Fracture the fence,

disobey d' demarcations,

cross the confines,

defy directives in unison

Spread wings steadily,

dispel d' bondage of inertia

fly farthest to a dreamy world

of immense euphoria

Enjoy life,

away from d' path usual

beyond a response normal

shut d' eyes, try to feel

it's an acceptable situation

termed as an aberration,

yet acknowledged

in God's amazing creation

 A curious divergence,

our brief amalgamation

yet a gospel truth,

a truth undeniable

factual fables of fabrication,

precisely agreeable

might dislike it, refute, hate

yet a genuine, realistic fact

Not stupid,

absolutely no wrong

appears absurd,

still a delightful song

U know not or know,

aberrations an admissible go

sans it d' life a play,

monotonous and slow

march ahead, attain new height

beyond our visual field,

at a distant sight

Extraneous stimuli

not to deter d' pace

present world,

a target-oriented race

Forge ahead,

ignore d' aberration

to achieve perfection

But aberrations universal truth,

never forget

their beauty need not ignore

ought to accept to a certain extent
